I had a dream recently that started out cheerful and turned nightmare. I had killed several people. Not sure of an exact number, but between 5 and 10. Perhaps a family. I was getting away with it and feeling good about it. This was the cheerful part. Hmmm? I've never so much as been in a real fight, so I'd think this would have set off alarms, but I was proceeding merrily along.
Then the police started to pick up on some clues. This is when it spun into nightmare. Extremely tense, watching my plans unravel and it become more and more likely that I was going to be caught.
I reached that point where I realized it was a dream. I always wake up at that point. This time, right after I realized it was a dream, as I was surfacing, I thought, "Or is it repressed memory?"
That was the end of sleep for that night, I can tell you.

Wow, this photo should be on the book jacket when you right the novel about it. (Or maybe in the short story anthology that contains it.)

I am happy with the way they go together.
I was thinking that this is the photo that should be on the cover of the novelization of Josh's trial...
