Neat!

The last several photo entries have been so far advanced from your first efforts as I'd almost believe you've been stealing them from stock photo archives! Are you taking just multitudes of pics or is it coming that easily to you?!? Do you attribute your development to anything in particular? I see much more technical proficiency, but also an aesthetic understanding that maybe you're consciously affecting or maybe is just appearing on its own. What are you thinking about in making your current photos that's different from your earlier approach?

Thanks for such a meaty comment James, not to mention flattering :-)

I'm not taking multitudes of pictures. I'm taking fewer, mostly because of time constraints. Perhaps more important to your perception, I'm posting fewer. If a take a roll of film and there is one picture I really like and a few I think are OK, I'm posting fewer of the OK ones. That might account for increase of average quality of the pictures you are seeing, or quantitative improvement.

In terms of qualitative improvement, by which I mean that my best is getting better, I think its mostly the accumulation of experience. That's definitely true for technical proficiency.

Aesthetically, I think I'm just starting to get it a little more. No big secret or revelation. I mean, I have tools, like Jae literally gave me crib notes of guidelines for composition, but she did that back at the beginning. You know how you learn something, but you don't really know it until you've tried applying it for awhile? That's my guess as to why pictures are turning out better.
